We reached a major milestone yesterday with 100,000 views since the blog’s inception November 30, 2010.

Our thanks to all the knowledgeable and helpful article sources on the Internet.  We carefully give credit and links each time we post an article from another source.  Many have linked back to Conquest Small Business Post,  News to Use, and that is great too!  And a huge thanks to all the viewers,  some of whom follow us for every post as they appear, some routinely check in several times a week to catch up on what they have missed and we also welcome newcomers every day.   Thanks also to WordPress (our home), I now know the viewers are arriving on site from 103 countries.  Isn’t that fantastic!!

With our mission to help entrepreneurs and small business owners everywhere with how-to, need-to-know, heads-up, news-to-watch, training, learning and of-interest continuing firmly in place (see About Blog below), we are looking forward.  We always have more plans in process for the blog.

The Blog: Launch 11.30.2010
Conquest Small Business Post | News to Use

I have worked with small business owners for many years, and I have had three small businesses of my own.  An entrepreneur or small business owner must wear many “hats” and has a daily need to master knowledge and how-to for all areas of his/her business.  Sometimes these tasks are daunting.  A while ago I posted an article, “entrepreneurship is the toughest job in the world”.  I think this is very true.

The internet and online search engines with almost instant information are wonderful assists to the entrepreneur’s and small business owner’s needs for lots of information on many topics, as long as he/she doesn’t become overwhelmed by the sheer volume produced from these avenues.

I will share a method of handling information load that I have used for years, and upon which I  still rely.    Since the days when information I wanted meant that I had to search for the best books on a topic, read them all, and then poll the collection of information I had gathered in order to come up with the best practice answers and how-to I sought, I find polling still works for me.  The difference now is that most information is sourced from the internet, white papers, ebooks and occasionally books.   I still enjoy reading real books but more often now at my leisure when that premium is available.   Like most, I find leisure time is in short supply these days.

When my primary sources of information were books,  fifty boxes of my favorite books always moved around with me, many on how-to subjects.  The books became an index of my life and interests, titles pointing to various periods of age and focus.

So, readers, the blog  –  Accounting and Small Business /Beverly Shares | Conquest Small Business Post  | News to Use  represents not only my continuing interests, but also what I hope will be helpful to other small business owners in their entrepreneurial roles.  The comments from blog viewers that I am accomplishing what I set out to do is very rewarding, thank you!  Everyone is welcome!

Beverly
