Social media, LinkedIn, has a new business “company page” remake.  Take a look  —  perhaps ythe remake will benefit your business.

Excerpt:  LinkedIn recently launched a redesign of its Company Pages. It initially offered the redesign to a few select companies. But last week, it made the redesign available to all businesses. LinkedIn described it all in a blog post. Merchants should consider updating their company pages to take advantage of the new features.

LinkedIn Adds Targeting to Company Status Updates

More social media in the news today.  This time it is LinkedIn who is adding a feature to allow specific uses of targeted status updates in order to direct your messages to the right people.

Excerpt: Now the business-minded social network is adding the ability for marketers to pinpoint those posts at specific groups of followers.

Companies can target status updates based on seniority, job title, geography, company size, industry and employee tenure. “To now go out and be able to target vice-presidents of IT at companies with 500 employees and larger and send them a very specific message about enterprise software, that is a very specific message that those people have a high interest in receiving,” explained Jonathan Lister, LinkedIn’s vp of North America sales and marketing solutions.
